Welcome to st. justin catholic elementary school

Dear Parents/Guardians:

I am amazed that the second last month of the school year is upon us. You know that you love your job when time flies and you wish the day wasn’t over yet! April was another busy month and May promises to be the same.

We begin the month with Education Week and an exciting Artist in Residency Program. Our students will be engaged with professional musicians, artists and performers as they create their own concept of a perfect world. Please join us on Friday, May 4th from 1:45-3:00 p.m. to enjoy the final product of the student’s hard work!

May is a time for the students to focus on their studies as they prepare for the transition to a new grade. Our grades three and six students will write the first of the Provincial Achievement Tests. The only way to prepare for any test is to be an attentive and diligent student, as well as eat a good breakfast and get plenty of sleep! Our Wellness Symposium taught us the benefits of being healthy; we just have to practice it on a daily basis.

During the month of May we are still in the season of Easter until Pentecost Sunday on May 27th. Let us continue to rejoice in the fact that God loves us and was willing to lay down his life so that we may be saved. Alleluia. As well, May is the month of Mary. It is comforting to know that Mary is in union with us as we ask for her intercession with her son. Let us celebrate her and all mothers this month.
